For the past five years, I've been self-publishing my comic book series, but my true passion has always been filmmaking. While working on my comics and living in the Pacific Northwest, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with the vibrant Bellingham film community. Through this, I’ve contributed to various indie film projects, both behind and in front of the camera, helping fellow creators bring their stories to life.
The inspiration for this project comes from my most recent film experience. *The Last Sunrise* will mark my directorial debut, where I'll be behind the camera telling a story I wrote. It follows a family of three monster hunters—descendants of a long line of executioners and members of an elite group known as The Guild of Executioners. This organization specializes in hunting and eliminating dangerous creatures across the globe.
The Last Sunrise centers on a father, mother, and daughter team on another mission to exterminate vampires. While the premise might suggest a horror film, at its heart, this story is about the unbreakable bond between these three characters.
The cast and crew have wholeheartedly dedicated their diverse talents and skills to realize this intricate vision. Each individual contributes their unique expertise and creative abilities, whether performing on camera, working diligently behind the camera, or contributing to the intricate design. They collaboratively create a compelling project that beautifully highlights their combined creativity and artistic flair. This is my most ambitious achievement to date, driven by collaboration and rich artistic expression, with everyone playing a vital and indispensable role in shaping the overall experience for our audience.
The Last Executioner: Into The Night is the third and final installment of what’s been deemed as The Executioner Series. Two years after a former friend murdered her father, Kitten (Sophie Burns) has retreated into solitude. But when a mysterious stranger (Brooklyn Flamer) reveals that Laura Patterson (Avery Francis) is amassing an army of vampires to dominate the night, and the day, Kitten is forced back into the battle for a final, deadly confrontation.
